BUBBLE SOCCER is, for the most part, exactly what it sounds like: full-contact soccer where each player wears a plastic bubble from thigh to head approximately five feet in diameter. The bubble itself is a souped-up version of those inflatable sumo wrestling costumes, although your hands remain inside the bubble at all times. The bubbles let players bounce around with the ball and knock each other to the ground without getting hurt. Now, we have a game that is safe, entertaining to watch, and hilariously fun to play. It’s a game that is a combination of soccer, human bowling, pillow fighting, and sumo wrestling.
As with soccer, Bubble Soccer is played on a grass field or indoor gym of usual dimensions, with a referee, and two goals. Sometimes time is kept according to regulations, or games are often shortened by design or by exhaustion.
